Bring your pillow and books (or pick some up here) and knock out some of your summer reading hours.  Pizza will be served and we will take reading breaks to play games and talk about what books are HOT this summer!  Come for some or all of the time! (For students in Grades 6-12)

 

“Unleash your Inner Rock Star”

Mix & make your own tunes using GarageBand and other programs.  (For students in Grades 6-12)

 

“Shakespeare Smackdown”

 

Thursday, July 9th 2:00-3:30 pm

 

Explore the language, insults, staging and fighting of Shakespeare.  This will be a fun, interactive session led by Shakespeare expert Patrick McWilliams. (For students in Grades 6-12)

 

“Cupcake Wars – A “Suite” Competition

 

Thursday, July 16th 2:00-3:30 pm

 

Compete in a series of challenges to create the most original cupcake designs.  Prizes will be awarded. (For students in Grades 6-12)

 

"Musical Magnets”

 

Thursday, July 23rd 2:00-3:30 pm

 

Use musical images (or choose your own) to create a custom set of marble magnets. Bring your creativity, we’ll supply the rest! (For students in Grades 6-12)

 

Movie Sing-A-Long in the Speakeasy

 

Thursday, July 30th 10:30am – 1:00 pm

 

Join us in the Speakeasy Movie Theater for this interactive musical movie experience.  Movie selection will be voted on by teens and announced later this summer. (For students in Grades 6-12)

Join us in Breckenridge on Thursday, July 9 from 4:00-5:00 PM to be a part of the NEW South Branch TAB.  There are many reasons to join but here are just a few:

     ~help plan library events  & activities
     ~Provide input on books & movies the library buys
     ~develop leadership skills
     ~earn community service hours
     ~meet new people & have fun
     ~plus...it looks great on college applications!

Missing Ending Book Club

Our favorite book club will start up again in September of 2015.  Sixth through 12th graders can pick up a free book and surprise package at the North Branch Library, 651 Center Circle, Silverthorne.  Read the book to the stapled pages (the missing ending) and come to the meeting in October for snacks, games, and/or a make-and-take project.
